Saturday Morning Quotes
I know I took this image from another blog and honestly, it wasn't that long ago so I should remember. I downloaded it to put up on my wall but thought sharing it would work as well. Please if you know the source, email me so I can link it. Happy Saturday.

The Shoe Box
My go-to shoe this season from Vince Camuto, with tights of course. I wore them the other day on a make up artistry freelancing job and for the first time, they killed. My feet were throbbing for days and yet I wore them yesterday and nothing. I think they are haunted. Oh well, on the hunt for a new comfy pair. Too bad, I got these for $25 on eBay.

How To Wear A Pashmina?
So this is a styling video that I did for www. verypashmina.com on how to wear your pashmina. I apologize as this was my very first video and I was so nervous that I kept forgetting to smile or even show emotion! I promise if I ever do another video, I'll be a bit better. It is not a bad video ( at least I do not think so) but if you knew me, you would wonder what was wrong. I am usually such a goofball, it is weird seeing myself so serious!

The Terribly Terrific Twos
My Princess had a party. Jayden (the stunner in the background) was the first to arrive. His mother (my cousin) is Analiese's fairy godmother.
She danced ballet for Daddy before guests arrived.
Mom (that's me) made a cupcake stand using cans, cardboard, ribbon, glue, paper, rhinestone & love.
That love also helped back the Chocolate Hazelnut cupcakes with cream cheese frosting as well as the Almond Vanilla cupcakes with pink vanilla frosting.
Love also made a name banner out of card stock and glitter glue.
She also made a tassel banner out of tissue paper and ribbon. Notice that Jesus was in attendance. He always is at my mom's house.
The beautiful set up that my mother put together as well as the princess poster she bought from Disney.
Analiese got to wear a crown.
But she loved it when they sang Happy Birthday is both English AND Spanish best of all. My bilingual baby rocks.
Her cousins couldn't stand still for a second and when they did the image was too dark. Blah.
Analiese ate cupcakes until she passed out.
Jumped back on her feet for a moment...
...to open presents with assistance from her cousin (Princess) Kayla.
At the end she fought bedtime tooth and nail. We won, sort of. She ended up in our bed for almost a week! But she had an awesome party! Thanks Mom (as in my mom) for letting us use your basement for our Princess Party!

{Outfit Post} Casual Cool
We actually went out. Alone. The Hubs and I. I was looking forward to playing dress up, the heels, the whole nine yards but the rain, well, it rained on my parade. Though I was in my go-to grey pants that I picked up at Clothes Mentor, Cashmere top (found at my shop here) and the leopard flats from Aerosoles I wear almost everyday. I know I need a new pair. I do but I cannot let these go. The fedora was the final touch and less to look cool and more to save my blowout from the rain. It was bad.

Make that Mani Last!
Doesn't this look great*? I wish I could do this every week. Oh, how nice but unless you are Kourtney Kardashian and have an entourage to watch your offspring, this is more of a "blue moon" if that type of deal. Instead, make that DIY manicure last so you can have the "Dash" style nails. Here are my tips for my longer lasting manis.
- Find quiet time, if you are lucky (like me), they may take a nap. You take advantage. Forget the laundry and household duties. When they wake up, they will recreate that mess anyway.
- At salons, they let your nails soak to take care of your cuticles. Simply push them back but keep your nails DRY. Use a plain acetone, skip the moisturizing ones that leave residue on your nails.
- Use a base coat. Not a top/base coat mix. Trust me, it will be worth the extra step. This acts like double sided tape when you put your polish on, it will STAY on.
- Wait at least 25 mins so your nails can dry completely, hence the quiet time.
- Before bed or a few hours after your mani, apply one more coat of topcoat. You may want to do this twice a week if your polish tends to chip.
Try these tips and see how much longer yours may last. Anyone else have any helpful tips to add. I'm a sucker about my nails!
*This image is from a getaway I was browsing at. I think it would be nice for the hubs and I.
