Almost Effortless Hair at The Row

Since attending Fashion Week (yes, I'm still on that), I've been receiving beauty press releases like crazy. Unfortunately, I cannot share them all but it is great because not only do we get the step by step but the exact products used backstage. All this extra fun information and posts will go onto my new Facebook Fanpage. I know, I'm fashionably late to every party. I'll post this one from The Row here, this one time.

Overall look: Simple, Chic and Elegant Style

Steps:

• On damp hair, create a middle part and prep with Nectar Thermique for hair nourishment and heat protection
• Blow dry hair with a paddle brush
• Spray sections with Double Force Hair Spray and loosely curl sections of hair with a large barrel curling iron, curling in a downward vertical direction, and leaving the ends free
• Finger through the waves in the back and brush the front sections so the hair has a slight wave
• Add a pea-sized amount of Fibre Architecte to the ends to keep them smooth and slightly piec-y

Kérastase Products Used To Get the Look:

• Nectar Thermique – a heat protective nourishing leave-in treatment for dry, very dry or sensitized hair
• Double Force Hair Spray – a finishing spray that delivers buildable, flexible hold for all hair types
• Fibre Architecte – a reconstructive dual-serum that repairs and delivers long-lasting style memory for damaged, split ends

At The Row Fall 2013 presentation, legendary hairstylist Odile Gilbert created a simple and elegant style using Kérastase products.

Pinned & Perfected: Holiday Hair

I found this hairstyle somewhere on Pinterest and tried it out. I cannot find the original pin but it is super easy and only two steps.

Step 1: With your hair down, put on a stretch head band that goes all around like this one.

Step 2: Start tucking hair into head band.

Done.

I'm trying to grow my hair out. I get bored so fast that I get scissor happy and basically let the stylist do what she wants. My last haircut looked awesome coming out of the salon, my styling at home...not so much. So while in the weird grow out phase, I'll be trying out new hairstyles. Here is my "Princess Style" which I have even tried with my hair curly. It looks amazing curly but unfortunately I do not have a picture of it. Here it is with my natural curls combed out and the front blown out. 

My Princess Style:

Step 1: Use a black stretch headband worn hippie style.

Step 2: Tuck hair in.

Done. What do you think?

Bow Hair Glam

This image is a bit dark but I had to post it. I saw this hairstyle on a younger gal who was getting her make up done for a girl's night out. After obsessing over it for a few days, my girlfriend Sara sent me a link to a post Refinery 29 did back in December showing you just how to achieve the look. My hair is way too short but anyone willing to try please send me your pictures! 

Vi este estilo en una chica que se estaba haciendo maquillaje para salir con sus amigas. Varios días pasaron y yo no dejaba de pensar en este estilo. Mi amiga, Sara, me mando un mensaje de Refinery 29. Ellos tenían instrucciones en como hacer el pelo con este lazo en Diciembre.
